The grandson of the 80-year-old woman found dead in a Perth Amboy home on Sunday has been charged with her murder, prosecutors said Monday evening. A family member called police after finding the body of the victim, Awilda Verrette, at her residence on State Street at about 1:15 p.m., officials said. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
