Greece’s Apostolos Christou was on course to win, but Kós found some extra energy late in the race to take the lead and finish it in 1 minute 54.26 seconds. Christou finished 0.56 behind and took silver, Greece’s best result in Paris so far, while bronze went to Roman Mityukov of Switzerland.
