EU negotiators have reached a provisional deal on legislation aiming to make it easier for European consumers to have products repaired in future, rather than just replaced, the Belgian presidency of the Council of the European Union and EU lawmaker René Repasi said. Negotiators from the European parliament and EU member states have reached a political agreement on a stronger “right to repair” for consumers. The proposal aims to encourage more sustainable consumption within the bloc.
