A police cordon was put up outside a hospital following reports of an attack. Officers were seen outside the accident and emergency department at Maidstone Hospital on Hermitage Lane this morning. One person, who is currently an inpatient in the hospital, claimed someone had been attacked. At around 11am this morning he said: “The cordon has since been lifted but police are still on scene. There is currently one police car and a forensics investigation van.” Police and the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust have been contacted for comment. More as we have it.
