Plans for a new Indian takeaway in a Norfolk village have been rejected over fears of a ‘fat burg’ forming in the surrounding sewage network. Juber Ahmed made a bid to open the business in Kenninghall, near Diss, at 2 Market Place, the former home of the Twin Teapots cafe. The plans were met with objections from locals and the parish council, which raised concerns about the opening hours of the takeaway and its environmental impact.
