In the winner’s bracket of the Charlottesville Regional, Mississippi State and host team Virginia are in a heated battle. The Cavaliers were able to take an early 2-0 lead, but less than an inning later, the Bulldogs responded back in a big way. In the top of the third, with two outs and two on, Mississippi State slugger hunter Hines delivered a crushing three-run home run to give his ball club an early 3-2 lead.
