Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said he is “sad” after Emile Smith Rowe joined Fulham. The transfer was formally announced by both Premier League clubs on Friday. The Gunners will receive £27m plus £7m add-ons for Smith Rowe. Arteta has now wished the midfielder well for the next phase of his career. “I’m sad that Emile is leaving us, but excited for him to take this new opportunity at this stage of his career. “Emile is loved by everyone at Arsenal and leaves us with our gratitude, absolute respect and best wishes,” Arteta told the club’s official website.
