The Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Julie Spence, will be guest of honour as the Cambridge Royal Albert Homes celebrates 165 years. The charity provides subsidised housing and community near the centre of the city for people who are over 60, are capable of independent living, and who are a resident in or have a close connection to Cambridge. Since being founded, the charity has helped change hundreds of lives by offering community living in almshouses on Hills Road to those in need.
