Flooding and gale force winds are causing travel disruption and damage across the Bishop’s Stortford and Uttlesford areas this evening as Storm Henk batters a large swathe of the South East. The Met Office has issued an Amber weather warning up until 8pm with gusts of up to 80mph on the coast and 60mph inland with the possibility of damage to buildings, power cuts and the risk of flying debris causing a danger to life.
