The Aldermaston and Wasing Show returns to The Old Mill on Sunday, September 1, with organisers promising an afternoon of fun and games, and the plastic animals. The duck derby sees £40 paid to the winners of heats held across the afternoon, with the final offering prizes of £250, £150 and £75 for the first three ducks home. Each of the 100 ducks will have a number on its rear. These are then thrown into the water between the mill pond and the bridge with the first 10 ducks to cross the line to go through to the final.
