Tokyo stocks opened higher Tuesday as the yen’s weakening against the U.S. dollar supported buying of export-oriented electronics issues. In the first 15 minutes of trading, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 124.19 points, or 0.32 percent, from Monday to 38,825.06. The broader Topix index was up 12.21 points, or 0.45 percent, at 2,728.20. On the top-tier Prime Market, other gainers included land transportation, insurance and bank issues.
