A man and woman who were shot in Newark on Saturday are both in critical condition, officials say. Officials had only limited information, saying police had responded to the 100 block of Hillside Avenue for a report of a shooting shortly before 6 p.m., where they found the man and woman both shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said in a statement.
