Cambridgeshire’s chief fire officer Chris Strickland has hung up his uniform for good as he retired from the fire and rescue service after a career spanning more than four decades. Chris, who held the top position for the past eight years, stepped down at the end of June. His successor has been announced as Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service’s (CFRS) current deputy chief executive Matthew Warren.
