Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has declared Friday, October 4th as a work-free day ahead of the October 5th local government election in the state. The governor made the announcement in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula on Thursday in Makurdi. He said that the work-free day was to give the electorate the opportunity to travel to their respective local government areas to exercise their franchise.
