A keen runner took on a 26.2-mile challenge to raise money for a charity close to her heart. Sally Fawkes, 63, from Upwell, took part in her first London Marathon in her dad’s memory and raised more than £4,500 for the British Heart Foundation. She wanted to take on the challenge and raise money for the charity while running in memory of her dad, Harold Bridgefoot who had a heart attack 28 years ago, as well as her husband who has received treatment at Papworth Hospital. Sally never dreamed that she would get to participate in the marathon as well as be capable of doing it or securing a place….
