Airlines belonging to the Lufthansa Group will resume commercial flights to Israel, the company announced on Tuesday. Flights to Tel Aviv will resume on Thursday, although flights to the Lebanese capital of Beirut will remain suspended due to the ongoing conflict in the region until at least September 30. Lufthansa Group airlines include Swiss, Austrian, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings in addition to the German flagship carrier Lufthansa. Flights by Lufthansa Group airlines to Amman in Jordan and Erbil in Iraq had also been suspended but resumed on August 27.
