The number of people injured and trapped following the earthquake off the east coast of Taiwan has risen further, according to the authorities. More than 820 people were reported injured and 127 were trapped in tunnels or buildings, according to the national firefighting authority on Wednesday afternoon. The trapped people were all in the area around the city of Hualien, where the earthquake caused severe damage on Wednesday morning, it said.
