A Lebanese soldier was killed in the southern town of al-Taybeh due to an Israeli attack, the first army death since the start of the Israeli ground offensive in Lebanon. Another soldier was injured, the army said. The attack took place while they were carrying out an evacuation and rescue mission along with the Lebanese Red Cross.
