LANSING, Mich. — Michigan GOP Chairwoman Kristina Karamo said Tuesday that Republicans who are planning a weekend meeting to consider removing her as the party’s leader have failed to follow bylaws and have “zero legal authority.” After months of fundraising struggles and disagreements over the direction of the party, opponents of Karamo have called for a special meeting of the party’s state committee at 1 p.m. Saturday in Commerce Township.
