Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi has spoken on breaking the record set by Chelsea legend, Mikel Obi. He broke Mikel’s record for most minutes played by a Nigerian player in Premier League history. Iwobi broke the record when he featured in Fulham’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on matchday 32 of last season. Playing the minutes of that particular game took his number of minutes played in the English top-flight to 16,289 minutes, surpassing Mikel’s minutes while playing for Chelsea.
