A coastguard helicopter has been searching cliffs for a missing person. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said it had scrambled a helicopter to Langdon Bay, where the White Cliffs of Dover are, last night. A spokesperson said: “HM Coastguard has been assisting Kent Police with the search for a missing person in Dover. “An HM Coastguard helicopter from Lydd was sent in addition to Langdon Bay.” Folkestone’s Coastguard Rescue Team and RNLI lifeboat from Dover also attended.
