A road was closed after a crash involving a motorcyclist and car this morning. The incident happened at the junction of Mierscourt Road and Lonsdale Road in Rainham just before 9am. Traffic was stopped in both directions as police and ambulance attended the scene. A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 8.48am today to a collision involving a car and a motorbike in Mierscourt Road, Gillingham.” The motorcyclists injuries were not described as life threatening and the road has now reopened.
