The 29-year-old actor played Ben Mitchell on Albert Square but was surprisingly let go by soap bosses after five years in the role, in which he was involved in some big storylines including Ben’s rape ordeal in 2022. Max’s performances won him a few soap awards but it wasn’t enough to convince producers to carry on with him in the role.
