Purdue’s future took another hit on Wednesday evening with a de-commitment from 2026 Downey (Calif.) High QB Oscar Rios. He was the lone commitment in the Boilermakers’ 2026 class. The four-star product had offers from the likes of Nebraska, Cal, Utah, Washington, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Auburn, Kansas and Michigan State, among others, before committing to Purdue June 21. Now, he’s gone. The departure of offensive coordinator Graham Harrell no doubt played a role in Rios’ decision, as Harrell was the staffer who recruited him.
