A suspect has been charged with attempted murder following a violent assault in a town centre. Police were called shortly before 3am on Sunday, to a disturbance at a property in Fairmeadow, Maidstone. Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds. He remains there in a serious but stable condition. Three people were arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
