Karolien Florijn of the Netherlands won the Olympic women’s single sculls rowing gold on Saturday to add to her family’s impressive collection of silverware. Twice world champion Florijn held off Tokyo 2020 winner Emma Twigg of New Zealand who was competing in her fifth Games. Victorija Senkute of Lithuania earned bronze. Florijn had won silver in Tokyo as part of the Dutch four, and her gold came after her brother, Finn Florijn, won quadruple sculls gold earlier in the week.
