The Galaxy S25 series is expected to hit the market sometime in January-February 2025. However, the series has already joined the ranks of rumors. The latest news concerns the S25 Ultra’s camera specifications.
The S25 Ultra is said to offer a unique asymmetrical design and will feature significant improvements in camera technology and other key features. The phone will reportedly feature two new image sensors for the ultra wide-angle and telephoto cameras.
Galaxy S25 Ultra camera specs according to rumors
The ultra wide-angle lens will use a new version of the 1/2.76-inch JN1 sensor with a resolution of 50 MP. For comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra ultra-wide-angle camera includes a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 1/2.52″ sensor size. One of the telephoto lenses will have a 1/3-inch ISOCELL sensor, which is said to improve the clarity and stability of images with an extended focal length.
Daniel Araujo, vice president of Samsung Mobile Experience (MX), also recently revealed preliminary information about the Galaxy S25 series during the company’s Q2 2024 earnings conference call. According to him, the series will receive some key updates regarding the camera and display. In addition, he also noted that they have prepared “the industry’s best application processor (AP) and memory to enhance artificial intelligence performance” and will also provide a comprehensive high-end experience.
“We are continuously improving the S-series hardware to provide customers with the industry’s best capabilities. We will continue to improve key features by upgrading the hardware to deliver the highest performance. Especially in terms of camera and display specs, the Galaxy S25 will receive the best upgrades when it hits the market,” the company spokesperson said.
Although the company has not yet commented on the use of the Exynos 2500 chipset in the Galaxy S25 series, the industry believes that a significant portion of the series will be powered by the Exynos chipset in many regions.
