Proposals for two new fast food restaurants in a Norfolk town are facing opposition amid concerns for wildlife. Officials at South Norfolk Council have recommended that the plans for new Burger King and Costa outlets off Victoria Road, in Diss, be refused. The site is located next to the River Waveney and concerns have been raised about the development’s impact on the landscape and other environmental issues such as littering and artificial lighting.
