Samsung will present the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch 7 series at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled for July 10. Updated main sensor and new chip
While the Galaxy Z Flip 6 looks similar to its predecessor on the outside, its interior has reportedly received some upgrades. The news comes from Ishaan Agarwal, who claims that the Z Flip 6 will feature a 6.7-inch screen like its predecessor. It could be the same Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. Not to mention the FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2640) and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Speaking of cameras, the rear panel will most likely have a 50-megapixel main camera with an F1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module with an F2.2 aperture. The predecessor was equipped with a 12-megapixel main sensor, so we can expect some improvements here. The front camera can also be increased from 10 to 32 megapixels for more detailed images.
In terms of performance, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The chipset will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. For comparison, the Z Flip 5 comes with 8GB of RAM and the same storage type and options.
Surprisingly, the source claims that the phone may become slightly thicker – 7.4 mm. For context, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 measures 6.9 mm. This may be due to a larger sensor or a slightly larger battery. The phone will feature a 4000 mAh battery, which is 300 mAh more than its predecessor. The phone will reportedly charge at 25W, just like its predecessor.
