Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet in the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan on Wednesday ahead of a multi-country security summit, according to the Kremlin. Talks between the two heads of state had originally been planned in Turkey. On Thursday, Putin is to meet Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) event in the Kazakh capital Astana.
