A senator from Russia’s ruling party has been arrested for allegedly ordering a murder. The Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament in Moscow, voted in favour of lifting Senator Dmitry Savelyev’s immunity, a spokesman said on Friday. Savelyev was arrested as soon as he left the session, the Russian state news agency TASS reported.
