Inspections are to be carried out on more than 5,000 council homes after “unacceptable” failings were revealed, including maintenance issues. Furious tenants have slammed Ashford Borough Council (ABC) after an independent regulator found its properties are not meeting the “Decent Homes Standard” (DHS) set by the government.
