Vandals cut down trees, ripped up path edgings and broke a bench in a Bishop’s Stortford park, leaving volunteers and users heartbroken. Friends of Southern Country Park say after Easts Herts police were alerted to the wrecking rampage last Wednesday (Mar 27) they discovered the trail of destruction. Besides the damage to the trees, path edging and bench, a rattan seat was taken into a wood to form a den and several tools were left lying around.
