Lithuania and Germany are to sign an agreement on the stationing and rights of a German brigade in the Baltic republic next week, Defence Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas said in Vilnius on Wednesday, the Baltic News Service reported. The intergovernmental agreement, to be signed on September 13, will regulate use of the bases and the arrival, movement and departure of German troops in the fellow NATO country.
