Flooding has hit southern Poland following heavy rainfall across the country. One of the areas badly affected is the area in and around Bielsko-Biala in Silesia, with the PAP news agency reporting that the town’s mayor had issued a flood warning. The fire brigade had responded to more than 700 calls by early Tuesday morning, with many properties and cellars being inundated.
