A Ghanaian journalist, Abdul Hakim Awal, has set a new Guinness World Record, GWR, for the longest time to hug a tree. GWR made this known on its official X on Tuesday. Captioning his picture, the GWR wrote, “A 23-year-old journalist, Abdul Hakim Awal, hugged a tree for 24 hours and 21 minutes.” To achieve the feat, he had “to remain standing and keep his arms wrapped around the tree throughout the entire duration.” Also, he was not given any breaks during the attempt.
