At Computex 2024, ASUS presented two new gaming laptops TUF Gaming A14 and A16. These models are designed for gamers and feature AMD Ryzen AI processors and NVIDIA RTX 40 series GPUs.
Specifications of Asus TUF Gaming A16/A14:
The TUF Gaming A16 features a 16-inch display and is built on a slim 17.9 mm thick body, which provides a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. The display has a 2.5K resolution, 400 nits brightness, 165 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response time. It fully supports the sRGB color gamut. For better control, it has a larger touchpad and full-size arrow keys. This model also offers a variety of connectivity options, such as two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a USB 4 port with DisplayPort 2.1, a USB 3.2 Type-C port with 100W power, an Ethernet port, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm combo jack.
The laptop is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI processors and can be equipped with RTX 4070 GPU and LPDDR5X-7500 memory. It also comes with a 90 Wh battery and advanced cooling technology to manage heat.
The smaller TUF Gaming A14 has many of the features of the A16, but is equipped with an RTX 4060 GPU and a 73 Wh battery. It has a slightly lower system TDP of 100W, which can be increased to 110W in Turbo mode. The 14-inch display has a 2.5K resolution, 400 nits brightness, 165Hz refresh rate, and 3ms response time.
Both laptops have a rugged design, and the A14 is equipped with a military-grade chassis and an FHD webcam with Windows Hello.
By the way, ASUS also debuted a three-mode headset for gamers, the ROG Prism Delta 2. It features a long battery life of up to 110 hours and low-latency 2.4 GHz connectivity via a convenient Type-C receiver.
