US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has begun a visit to China which is expected to last several days. She landed in the southern Chinese industrial heartland of Guangzhou on Thursday afternoon, Chinese state television reported. Yellen said she wanted to meet representatives from US companies and the Chinese government. “During my time in China, I’ll focus on advancing a healthy economic relationship that provides a level playing field for American workers and firms,” she wrote on the X platform, formerly Twitter, before her arrival.
