Norway’s Silje Opseth recorded the best jump of the weekend when she beat Slovenian World Cup leader Nika Prevc for victory in a women’s ski jumping large hill event in Germany on Sunday. Opseth soared 141.5 metres and a women’s leading 150 metres in rainy conditions in Willingen for 229.8 points. She claimed her first season victory and sixth overall 8.1 points ahead of Prevc, who rebounded from 15th place on Saturday with jumps of 133.5m and 146m.
