German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Defence Minister Boris Pistorius will be on hand Wednesday when the Bundeswehr puts its first IRIS-T SLM air defence system into service in Todendorf in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein. The German government has already delivered four of these weapon systems and three related IRIS-T SLS systems to Ukraine.
