A police manhunt in underway after a stranger reportedly subjected a woman to a sustain sexual attack by a river. Detectives are investigating the alleged attack near the Lockmeadow leisure complex in Maidstone last night (September 2). It is reported she had been sitting in an area near the River Medway when she was approached by an unknown man. He is said to have tried to engage her in unwanted conversation before then assaulting her over a prolonged period. The incident is alleged to have happened between 7pm and midnight.
