In a milestone for self-driving cars, Google’s sister company Waymo has been given authorization to expand its robotaxi service from San Francisco to Silicon Valley and parts of Los Angeles. The announcement from Waymo, a pioneer in autonomous driving, comes after its competitor Cruise from car giant General Motors suspended its services following a major accident.
