Newark Town’s first-ever adventure into the FA Cup ended in defeat on Saturday. The Blues went down to a 5-2 away reversal in their extra preliminary round clash with Barton Town. They found themselves three goals at the break and, although Newark improved in the second half, the damage had been done in the opening 45 minutes.
