Overnight roundabout closures which were due to carry on for three more weeks have finished earlier than expected. The A20 Coldharbour Roundabout in Maidstone was shut last night (August 2) for the final time. Contractors Breheny has been tasked by Kent County Council (KCC) to carry out improvement works on the roundabout, next to Junction 5 of the M20. The scheme was approved in 2019 and is set to reduce congestion in the area and boost air quality. It started in February and workers are making “good early progress” so far.
