A new government policy to confiscate the cars of extreme speeders in Austria is having a significant effect, with 70 vehicles already being seized since the measure was introduced on March 1. The figure was first reported by the Der Standard newspaper, which highlighted the example of a 26-year-old man stopped in Tyrol for travelling at 180 kilometres per hour in an 80 km/h zone.
