A long stretch of the M20 is blocked due to a “massive” vehicle fire. Queues are building Londonbound between Ashford at Junction 9 and Maidstone services at Junction 8. Pictures from the carriageway show stationary traffic and smoke billowing in the distance. One person warned others on social media, saying: “Do not come down onto the M20 junction 9 London bound to 8!
