Germany goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger has been hailed after saving two penalties and scoring the winner in the 4-2 spot-kick victory over Canada on Saturday which sealed a semi-final in the Olympic women’s football tournament. “To put it bluntly, she’s a pretty cool,” Germany women’s team director Nia Künzer said about the 33-year-old after the 0-0 draw in the quarter-final against the holders meant penalties were needed.
