Kentucky senior Laney Frye needed to sink a putt on 18 to make the cut at the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Playing in Thursday’s second round at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, Frye’s 3-over 75 landed on the number, sending the Nicholasville, Kentucky, native into weekend play. On Saturday, Augusta National will host the tournament’s final round. Frye trails the leader, Lottie Woad, by eight strokes in Frye’s second appearance at the event. She missed the cut in 2023.
