Police are investigating after a man threatened staff and councillors at West Berkshire Council’s office in Newbury. Thames Valley Police confirmed it was investigating an incident of public order, which occurred last Friday afternoon. Eyewitnesses report that a man was seen brandishing a bottle of whisky, which he then smashed, and started throwing bits of glass at passers by.
