Customers at a food store will be greeted by staff wearing pyjamas and can even throw wet sponges at them for charity. Staff at Heron Foods, Newark, will be wearing their pyjamas to raise funds for a terminally ill customer with cancer and Reach Learning Disability Newark. Kay Coombs, a senior sales assistant at the store — also known as the staff’s mama — is organising the two-day fundraising event.
